2000 : Creation of the network at the initiative of Joël LUNARDI, Anne LOMBES and Jean-Pierre MAZAT (AFM-INSERM)2018 : Creation of the name and the logo MitoDiag
2019 : Conception of the MitoMatcher database
2021 : Creation and hosting of the Mitomatcher database on a secure LAMP server
2022 : Planning on opening the querying application to all memebers of MitoDiag after data sharing authorization by the CNIL

- 11 diagnostic laboratories ensuring a complete network of the territory :
Angers, Bordeaux, Caen, Grenoble, Lille, Lyon, Nice, Paris (Necker, Bicêtre, Pitié-Salpêtrière) and Reims
OBJECTIFS
- Collaboration between laboratories for the diagnosis of mitochondrial diseases
- Clinical-biological interactions
- Regular meetings or conference calls
- Quality approach and harmonization of diagnostic practices
- Creation and maintenance of databases
- Scientific / technological monitoring and diagnostic innovations (NGS, standardization mitochondrial enzymatic activities, BN-Page, ...)
- Links between diagnosis and fondamental / clinical research in coordination with the Reference Centers of Rare Diseases
- Training and diffusion of knowledge within the network
- Promote links between professionals involved in the diagnosis of mitochondrial diseases and patient associations.
